MD PRODUCT Official Online Store Opens — Japanese-Made MD Paper Notebooks and Stationery

MD PRODUCT, a Japanese stationery brand known for its MD paper, has launched an official online store featuring notebooks, desk accessories, writing tools, and paper goods. The store opened on January 22, 2026, and currently ships only within Japan.

Brand Background

The MD product line by MD PAPER PRODUCTS, a Midori brand, features quality paper and writing tools. Developed in the 1960s, MD paper has been refined for a smooth surface ideal for fountain pens with minimal bleed-through.

In late 2025, the company announced a rebranding from MD PAPER PRODUCTS to MD PRODUCT, emphasizing stationery and paper goods that promote mindful writing. The new brand highlights the value of pausing and reflecting, a concept known as “Yohaku,” which means margin in time.

Official Online Store Launch

The MD PRODUCT online store launched in January 2026, providing a direct shopping experience for its notebooks and stationery. The platform includes categories like:

  • All Notebooks (including A5, A6, B6 Slim, and more)
  • Writing Tools
  • Paper Pads and Memo Blocks
  • Letter Sets and Envelopes
  • Desk Accessories such as pen rests and scent clocks

While the store’s stock includes a wide variety of products, it currently ships only within Japan, with international shipping options not yet available.

MD Notebooks and Stationery Highlights

MD PRODUCT’s range emphasizes simplicity, quality materials, and writing functionality. Its main offering, the MD Notebook series, features Midori’s MD paper and thread-stitched binding, ensuring the notebook lies flat for an uninterrupted writing experience.

Users’ Stories and brand features on the official site show how the notebooks adapt to different writing and planning needs, such as journaling, brainstorming, and everyday notes, catering to both creative and practical uses.

MD Paper and Writing Focus

The range focuses on paper quality and writing comfort, following a Japanese design philosophy that enhances the writing experience. This approach continues Midori’s tradition of developing MD paper and shows the brand’s dedication to handwriting.

Regional Availability

At launch, the MD PRODUCT online store only ships to Japan. International buyers need to use third-party retailers or local stockists to purchase. As the store expands, more shipping regions may be added in the future.
