Flywheel: Your Destination for Craft Stationery in Tasmania

Flywheel Traveler's Company Partner Shop

In the heart of New Norfolk, southern Tasmania, Flywheel brings paper and print to life. Began as a small letterpress printing studio, it has become a favourite for craft lovers.

A mother and daughters team runs the store. They have operated an antique shop, The Drill Hall Emporium for over two decades. Years of antique hunting shaped their eye for detail and quality. During one hunt, they discovered an old printing press and lead type. That moment changed everything. Rachel, the youngest sister, fell in love with letterpress printing. She explored the craft with curiosity and dedication. Her passion sparked a new direction for the family.

They decided to combine vintage office wares with global stationery brands. They added a working letterpress studio to the vision. Flywheel became the result of that shared dream. The family poured heart and intention into every corner.

Inside its historic high-street space, you’ll find a changing assortment of stationery from around the world, from notebooks and pens to inks, calligraphy tools, and elegant gift items.

What makes Flywheel unique is its working letterpress studio. Antique cast-iron presses create exclusive letterpress cards and bespoke stationery, ideal for gifting or personal collections.

Flywheel proudly represents Traveler’s Company as an official partner shop, offering a variety of Traveler’s Notebooks, inserts, accessories, and leather covers online and in store.
