Cultivating Your Garden of Life With The Eden Planner

The Eden Planner cover

Life is a garden, and we are meant to take care of it.

The realisation dawned on Sam nearly 8 years ago during a six-week hike across Spain. It came at a point when the Australian filmmaker thought she had enough of the rat race. “After multiple burn-outs during my 20’s, I realised that I was tired of feeling busy all the time, while other areas of my life were suffering,” she said.

That moment sparked what later became The Eden Planner. Over the next three years, Sam developed a playful life-management tool rooted in the concept of slow productivity. Think productivity guidance, time management support, and project-planning guides. Today, Eden celebrates its fifth year in the world, with its products shipped to every corner of Australia.

What Is An Eden’s Planner?

Eden’s planners are anything but a place to dump off an endless to-do-list.

At its core is the 12-month, project-driven diaries and life planners. The premise is simple: plan your life as a garden and see it grow. Within Eden, you become the caretaker of four main “garden beds”: wellness, recreation, relationships, income and career.

It is sustainable productivity that lasts after the first week of inspiration. As the brand puts it:

“It’s completely up to you what this garden will look like in 1 year, 3 years, and at the end of your life. Rather than throwing seeds to the wind and seeing what happens, this book will help you take command of what you are currently growing and help you make time for what you wish to grow.”

“We are going to help you create a garden/ life that you feel in control of, proud of, and most importantly, excited by.”

The project planning pages help you stay in control of your current projects while still leaving room to imagine what comes next. The weekly and monthly spreads bring clarity and structure.

Who Is Eden For?

Eden’s mission is to help busy grown-ups spend their lives intentionally. You are perfect for Eden’s planners if you are:

  • Freelance creatives on the brink of burn-out trying to juggle life, work, and a (somewhat fluctuating) sleep schedule
  • Busy grown-ups trying to stay on top of their bills, appointments, meal preps and hobbies
  • Recent graduates going through post-study crisis, redefining their career paths and setting healthy habits that will carry them into the rest of their working lives
  • Full-time workers who just need a safe space to reflect, reconnect and rediscover themselves

What sets Eden apart is the brand’s vision to be more than just a planning system. It’s a busy grownup’s analog version of a cheerleader and personal assistant, supporting you through all the highs and lows of cultivating your ever-evolving garden of life.

“I couldn’t have made it this far without using my own Eden Planner every single day—she keeps me sane, keeps me on top of things, keeps my relationships flourishing, and helps me take better care of myself,” Sam said.
